Four young musicians were tired of playing neat and proper music

The band GØ was founded in 2015 by four young musicians who were tired of playing neat and proper music. Today, they are among the most sought-after musicians in the Faroe Islands, and they still hold on to the same rebellious approach when writing and performing music; in GØ, everything is allowed.

While the soundscape GØ creates harkens back to the '60s and '70s, their compositions carry traces of film noir, spaghetti western, jazz, and rock.

Over the past year, GØ has performed extensively both in the Faroe Islands and abroad. Notably, at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival, where the band managed to impress the Icelandic audience and received praise from the major jazz publication Jazzwise.

This same performance can now be experienced in the Faroe Islands, along with the opportunity to acquire their brand-new album, "Ævir, Amen."
