Welcome to our exhibition about ´The cottage industry in Faroe Islands in late 18´th century´.
The old faroese saying ´Ull er Føroya Gull´ (Wool is Faroese Gold) derives from a period when the cottage industry was blooming. This exhibition will emphasize the importance of wool production in the period of late 18´th century. It will also give an idea on how time-consuming this production was, along with the tools used in this industry.
