Exciting summer exhibition in Smidjan í Lítluvík.
Brand new paintings in Oil and Acrylic colors. The paintings are light in the colour palette but firm in structure and shape. The motives are the classic Faroese villages and the surrounding landscape.
With inspiration from great Faroese artists like Jack Kampmann, R. Smith and I av Reyni, but also other various artists, the paintings are essentially small fragments of imagery from my memory.
A semi-abstract form where the colours are complementary and the structure is defined by black/white contrasts.
Sofus currently recides in Denmark and is represented in Gallery Sct. Gertrud in Copenhagen.
