A unique Faroese dinner at a local home in the Faroe Islands. Cooking together, stories of Faroese culture and legends will embellish this special evening. The host is the author of a tourist guide to the Faroe Islands. You will try traditional Faroese recipes from centuries ago.
For starters, we will serve halibut, salmon and mackerel sandwiches. Then traditional Faroese fish soup with peaches served with crispy bread. We also serve dried fish, marinated sheep, whale, all served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Finally, you’ll discover the classic rhubarb dessert with vanilla mousse.
The price of dinner includes a welcome aperitif – akvavit, a bottle of rhubarb beer and wine. And also water, coffee and tea.
